Faith was three the first time her twin sister died.
The second time, she was ten.
Faith and her twin sister depended only on each other, bonding deeply through telepathy in the midst of their tumultuous childhood, but when her twin dies, Faith becomes a shut-in, deciding to ignore the world that seems to have no place for her even as she ignores the odd form and contours of her newly developing body.
Lotte, the mysterious woman who takes over the care of Faith, eventually coerces her back into the world and that is when Faith meets Joe, the proprietor of Jungle Joe’s, who alludes to a peculiar past that includes himself, Lotte, and Faith’s grandparents.
When Faith gets an accidental glimpse her twin sister, her unsteadily assembled world is turned upside down and Faith is forced onto a path to discover where her sister is and in the process finds out just who (and what) she is herself.

I downloaded the Kindle edition of this book when it was offered for free. I would like to read sequels...but they do not appear to exist in print! This novel was written in what I would call "young adult" style in a science fiction format. I can see labeling it "thriller" or "horror" or even "paranormal", but I'd still say sci-fi is where it best fits. The storyline was intriguing. Fast-paced but not frantic. Some characters could stand better development; but by the end of the book, I realize why they were merely rough sketches. I grew to love Faith, rooting for her as she attempted to untangle the web of lies and deceit that clutters her past, present, and hopefully not her future. I want to know how she fares on her journey in the world.
The Kindle edition I downloaded needs some major copy editing work. Every other use of the word "from" was typed "form." A couple jumbled sentences here and there. Not anything more than the poor editing job done on 75% of the books I've read from the past 15-20 years of publishing. The advent and subsequent meteoric rise of e-books seems to be in direct correlation to the downfall of decent copy editors.
In short, if you love "this could really happen but the scientists wouldn't dare, would they?" science fiction...you will like this book.

Faith Creation All Lies Revealed edition by Chris Dougherty Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
From the very first page you realize that there is something different about Faith. Years after the death of her twin sister she is haunted by memories of the night of her death and she retains a part of her in her mind even as a young woman. Told in flashbacks, you learn about the loveless childhood of the two sisters who are raised by grandparents who show no emotions towards them. They know nothing about their parents and their house yields no information about their family no matter how hard they search for clues. Their question are met with silence. As a young woman, Faith is settled in her loneliness until her caretaker decided its time for her to have something to occupy her time. She finds her a job for her with a trusted a friend who appears to know more about Faith than he will reveal. Here begins the unraveling of the mystery of her life. This is a love story, a psychological thriller, a murder mystery and a provocative look at the tension between science and morality. Its a good book but a disturbing one.
I downloaded this as a free kindle book, and actually had no intention of reading it at this time, but work has been stressful and the very first sentence grabbed me as a compelling escape. "The first time my sister died, we were three years old." It was mysterious, and dramatic with a hint of the kind of mystery I love.
It was not a religious book, as the title might make you think, but was along the lines of Stephen King's Firestarter, or The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer. It wasn't as flawlessly written as a Stephen King Novel, but it was easy to become involved with the characters and to make predictions about where the story might be going. There was enough familiar elements that it fulfilled the expectations it gave me, and just enough creativity to keep me involved. Some reviews have mentioned the fact that the ending is an obvious set up for more in a series, as a negative, but since I enjoyed this book, I would love to see more like it.
I tend to only give 5 star reviews to my very favorite, will want to read this again many times, on the tip of my tongue anytime someone asks my favorite book, and this was not quite there, but I enjoyed it a lot, I'd read any sequel, and I'd never feel bad about suggesting it to anyone who likes books about science gone a bit evil, like the Maximum Ride novels.
Wow, what a talented author! This story is fantastic, and I can't say that enough. From the blurb I didn't expect to like it that much but I got hooked from the beginning sentence and it didn't let me go till I'd finished the entire book. Faith was a little slow to catch on with me, but digging through all the mysteries surrounding her and her twin brought me squarely into her corner and I quickly found myself rooting for her. Her growth, her strength, and her discovery of her strange powers inflamed my imagination (Note Bullies beware!) and I was dying to find out her background and secrets. And I was NOT disappointed in that part of the story.
Unfortunately, I didn't know it at the time but this is the beginning of a 'series,' and like someone else here said, without giving away details, the ending was kind of disappointing. Thinking it was a single story, I'd hoped for more closure, but I felt the end left too much up in the air. As much as I loved the story and characters, I will not be buying any more of this series until they are all finished and I see how many there are. I got burned once when a series I was caught up in just stopped in the middle, with a cliffhanger no less. Now if there are more than three, I'll pass. I feel there's no reason to drag a story out forever; it just makes an author seem too greedy.
I'm giving this 4 to 4-1/2 Stars, though it would have been a full 5 Stars with a better ending. Still, this is a great story and I do recommend it.
